Product Overview
Ce round metal fire pit is built in our Fujian workshop from metal-iron and finished in matte black. A wide bowl sits on a broad base, so heat spreads in an even ring rather than concentrating in one corner and guests can sit right around it. Wood is the fuel it is designed for, which suits garden gatherings, bonfire evenings on the patio and courtyard evenings at guest houses. Because the shape is round, there is no single front to the pit — it reads the same from the house, the lawn and the seating area. It sits in our flat-pack fire pit range, which keeps cartons compact for wholesale shipments, and sizes and colours are made to order from your picture or sample.
Airflow & Flame Behaviour
Curved fins feed the fire. The bowl is shaped with curved fins that draw air in at the sides, so oxygen reaches the whole fuel bed instead of only the top of the pile.
A steadier burn. With air circulating around the logs, the fire settles into an even flame and needs less poking to keep it going through a long evening.
More flame to look at. The open structure shows the fire from several angles, which is what catches a shopper’s eye in photographs and in a garden centre display.
Dry wood still matters most. Seasoned hardwood gives the steadiest, cleanest burn; damp or green wood smokes whatever shape the bowl is.
Tuning a custom airflow fire pit. If you are ordering this model for your own range, tell us how you want the flame to read at the rim — the fin and vent arrangement can be reviewed against your sample.

Material & Finish
The bowl and base are made from metal-iron, then finished in matte black. The coating is a high-temperature type, chosen so the surface colour stays even after repeated burns rather than dulling in patches, and it gives the pit the flat, matte look that sits comfortably beside stone paving, gravel and timber decking. Black is standard; other colours can be produced and should be agreed against a physical sample, because coating runs can shift a shade or two between batches. If your range needs a specific tone to sit next to existing outdoor furniture, send the reference and we will match it as closely as the coating allows. Check the finish on your sample before production starts.
Placement & First Burn
1.Choose a level, non-combustible surface — patio stone, gravel or packed earth — clear of railings, low branches and anything that could catch a spark. The pit is designed to sit flat, so avoid slopes and soft ground that lets the base sink.
2.Leave a gap around the bowl. Room for guests to move and room for air to reach the sides matters more than squeezing the pit into a corner.
3.Build a small fire first, with dry kindling and two or three split logs, so you can see how the airflow behaves in your own space before loading it up for a gathering.
4.Add logs as the fire takes, keeping the fuel inside the rim. Dry hardwood gives the steadiest flame.
5.Let the ash cool completely before clearing it — the open bowl makes that a quick job with a small shovel. Cover the pit when it is not in use and the weather turns wet.
Garden & Patio Applications
Garden gatherings. A round pit turns a loose arrangement of chairs into a circle with no bad seat, and it keeps working after the sun goes and the air turns cool.
Backyard bonfire evenings. A stable base takes a fuller fuel load, so the fire runs longer for family nights and late conversation.
Patio and terrace focal points. Matte black sits quietly against paving, gravel and planting, letting the flame do the lighting.
Guest houses, glamping sites and small hotels. Operators order several matching units so every terrace has the same setup; as an outdoor fire pit manufacturer we keep the finish and the carton size consistent across a multi-unit order.
Garden centres and outdoor living stockists. The round bowl is the shape most shoppers picture when they think of a wood fire outside, which makes it easy to merchandise.
Scale & Supply Capability
Decent Crafts manufactures metal-iron products in Fujian, China and exports to importers, wholesalers and private-label brands. Our range covers four connected lines: fire pits and fireplace accessories, firewood racks and log holders, pet and livestock feeders, and lawn and garden tools. Buyers can combine several categories in a single order and deal with one factory. OEM and customisation are welcome by picture or sample, with custom colours available. Standard orders start at 100 sets, samples are ready in 7-15 days, and bulk delivery runs 30-45 days. Goods ship from Xiamen port, and we accept L/C and T/T.
FAQ
Q1. What does a custom airflow fire pit change about the burn?
Curved fins around the bowl draw air in at the sides, so oxygen reaches the whole fuel bed rather than only the top of the pile. In practice the fire catches faster, spreads more evenly and holds a steadier flame with less poking. It is still a wood fire, so dry, seasoned logs make more difference than anything else — damp wood smokes whatever the bowl is shaped like.
Q2. What size round metal fire pit suits a garden gathering?
Every unit is made to your specification, so size is settled with us when you order rather than picked from a fixed list. Start from the seating circle: measure the space you have, how many people will sit around it, and how far the nearest bench will be. Send those measurements and we will advise on a bowl size and base footprint that fits.
Q3. What finish and colours can we choose?
Matte black is standard. Other colours can be produced and are agreed against a physical sample, because coating batches can shift a shade between runs. If the pit has to sit beside existing outdoor furniture or fit a brand palette, send a reference and we will match it as closely as the coating allows — and please confirm the finish on your sample before ordering.
Q4. Can the fire pit stay outside between gatherings?
It is made for outdoor use, but any coated metal pit lasts better if it is not left out through a wet winter. Cover it when it is not in use, and let it dry before the cover goes back on. If you have somewhere under cover, move it there for the wettest months and check the coating each spring.
Q5. How easy is it to clear the ash out?
The bowl is open, so once the ash is cold you can clear it with a small shovel or scoop in a few minutes — there are no tight corners to dig out. Empty it after the fire is completely out rather than while embers are still warm, and leave a thin layer of dry ash in the bottom if you like; it makes a bed for the next fire.
Q6. Can we adapt the design for our own range?
Yes. Shapes, sizes and colours are worked out from a picture or a sample, so the bowl can be adjusted for your market — different proportions, a matched colour, or detail work around the rim. Send clear photos or a physical sample with your changes marked, and we will tell you what is practical to produce.
